Chino Champion (Chino, California) 14 April 1950, Friday, p. 3 Herman Philip Laatz, 71, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Laura Echols, the morning of April 6. His death was attributed to a heart condition. Mr. Laatz was born Dec 31, 1878, in Indianapolis. He came to Chino from Indiana in 1940 and had resided withhis sister here since that time. Besides his sister, he is survived by a brother, Jacob Laatz and a niece, Mary Jane Laatz, both of Indiana. The body was shipped to Indianapolis
