The dam occurred at a place known as Allery's ferry, and was blown wl'.h dynamite several times, without much success. Kajt of Allery's ferry the river Is clear of ice for three miles, but at the ferry and west the Ice la exactly where It was all winter and is strong add solid. Between Allery's ferry and Portage, Mr. Letourneau said, there must be another loe-Jum, loe-Jum, loe-Jum, causing the flood at llenard and near Elle.
