Tipton Officers are Installed The following officers were installed at the regular meeting of the Pythian Sisters held Wednesday evening with Mrs. Bernice Cook as the installing officer. Mrs. Alice Whelan as grand senior and Mrs. Bessie Mattis as grand manager: past chief, Mertie Cook; most excellent chief, Jane Baker; excellent senior, Mildred Bailey: excellent junior. Eileen Miller: manager, Vera Driffill; mistress of records and correspondence, Ruth Mattis; mistress of finance, Helen Erlenbush: protector. Naomi Wilson: guard, Jane Anderson. The most excellent chief appointed the following committees: Flower. Wilma Dewey, Grace Kemp and Ruth Fisher; altruistic. Rose Elwood and Alice Whelan; resolutions. Bessie Mattts. Mabel Dove and Ella Davis: auditing, Mabelle Taylor, Marguerite Luce and Lucy Geiger; visiting. Vera Anderson and Lottie Hardy; dining room, Naomi Wilson, Zelma Spalding and Lillian Whelan; kitchen, Esther Overy, Fawn Platt and Grace Simmons. Mrs. Mildred Bailey was installed as excellent senior in place of Mrs. Frances Munger who was unable to be present because of illness. About 70 members and guests were served a potluck supper preceding the meeting at tables with patriotic decorations. Mrs. Lottie Hardy was presented with a large birthday cake in observance of her birthday anniversary. The cake was baked by Mrs. Alice Whelan and Mrs. Ruth Mattis. Games were enjoyed after the meeting.
