Bride-elect Honored at Party; Wedding, April 22 Honoring Miss Adeline On-Ill, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wllbert W. Orrlll of Los Angeles, fiancee of Atr Cadet Floyd W. Stevens, a sur- Miss Adeline Orrill prise breakfast was given at Hotel El Tejon recently by Mrs. William Stevens and Mrs. Edna Meldrim, mother and sister of Cadet Stevens, Table arrangements consisted of hangars, airplanes and flags in a red, white and blue color scheme. Miss Orrill, now a teacher at Beardsley School, is nn alumna of University of California at Los An P.-T.A. NOTES geles, where she participated extensively extensively in campus activities. She Is a member of Los Angeles chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and of Delta Thcta Tau sorority. The couple will wed April 22 In Waco, Texas, following the graduation graduation of the bridegroom-elect. Parents Parents of the couple expect to bo present. present. The wedding will be celebrated in the chapel at Blacklnnd Field with a reception following at a AVnco hotel. The bride will return at the end of a fortnight to resume her teaching until the end of the semester. semester. After being graduated from the local schools, Cadet Stevens attended New Mexico School of Mines and finished his Junior year at University University of California at which time he entered the service. He was active here in various groups, having been master councilor of Bakersfield chapter, Order of DeAIolay. Ho received received the chevalier degree from grand council of DeMolay, a much coveted honor in this organization. He was active In athletics, being pitcher for the DeMolay baseball team and manager of the basketball team for Bakersfield High School. He expects to graduate and receive his commission as a second lieutenant lieutenant at Blackland Flying School in Waco with the class 43-D, April 22. Attending the breakfast were: Mesdames Mesdames William Stevens, Arthur Meldrim, Meldrim, Walter Vials, Don Marcellus,Noel Marcellus,Noel Tradsham, Stroud Wilson, John Bidart; Misses Ernm Wlggctt. Mllll- cent Lincoln, Mary Dee Williams, Mary Crozler, Wllma Chancellor, Margaret Webster, Lorcne Lowe, Evelyn Cross and Adeline Orrill.
