Rites Monday for Harry Gearhart Death took a former Malvern businessman Jan. 26 when Harry L. Gearhart, 82, died in Omaha where he had lived for the past several years. Funeral services were held Monday at the Dundee Presbyteri,an church, with interment in the Forest Lawn cemetery. The son of Columbus Mayberry and Ida Mae Dalbey Gearhart, he was born "in Crawford county, "la., Jan. 3, 1891. 'He received his education in the Manning schools. He was married to Flora Esther Figg April 15, 1913, at Gretna, Nebr. They were parents of two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Dor- othy) Johnson and Mrs. Eugene (Lois) Wohlner, Pasadena, Calif.; and two sons, Weldon L. of Harlan and Howard C. of Des Moines, who with his wife, 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren survive him. Mr. Gearhart operated lumberyards at Tabor and Gretna, Nebr., before buying a lumber yard in Malvern in 1926, which he continued to own until 1959. Here he was a member of the Fairview Country club, Silver Urn Masonic lodge and chapter of the OES, the Malvern Commercial club and the Presbyterian church of which latter he was a trustee.
