Officers of Hidalgo County Are Named Santa Fe--Governor 0. A. Larrazolo Larrazolo Monday announced the appointment appointment of those officers who will serve in the new county of Hidalgo, of Â·which Lordsburg is the county seat, from January 1, 1920, until their successors are elected at the November election next year and qualify. The officers named are as follows: Treasurer and collector, Frank R. Coon; sheriff, J. A. Leahy; clerk and recorder, David L. Creswel); assessor, Frank Curry; school superintendent, Mrs. Luella Clark; road superintendent, superintendent, J. L. Augustine. All of the appointees are Republicans, Republicans, and likely will be the only officers officers of this political party to serve for some years in the new county, which is overwhelmingly Democratic.
