Mrs, Bon Jelenik, of Brownsville, visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Treece, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Merryman, of Calvert, spent Saturday here with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. de Friend and Morris. Mrs. Elmer Rinehart is ailing. Algle Lefiamon is in a Marlin hospital. Several have colds. Mrs. Zora Walker, of Groes- bfeck, was a guest of Mrs. Lois Bates over the weekend. Mrs. Tom Hudson, ®f Mexia, churdi. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Alston and Johnnie, of Cootidge, spent Saturday with her parents, Mr and Mre. M. M. Vaughan. Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Par- aonfi and son, of Fort Worth, visited here with his brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Parflons. Several from here were Groesbeck Sunday afternoon a meeting of the veterans. Jack] Zubik was the speaker. James Monaghaft d§4 Danny, of Austin, spent the weekend with his parents, Iff. and Mrs. 0. W. Monoghan ST. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Wilson, of Houston, spent the weekend here in their home. They are the unfortunate ones .whose home was broken into a weeks ago. Mount Vesuvius, in Italy, ia the only active volcano on the European mainlarxj.
