* * * And speaking of marriages. The Winner Advocate carried an Interesting front page story and picture last week. The headline of which read: "Couple Wed While Car Serviced." The story read In part: "A couple from St. Edward, Neb., found service In Winner varied and fast. They stopped at Edwards Oil Company service station on the west edge of Winner Monday afternoon and announced that they would like to have a tank of gas and a marriage. About a half hour later, they were on their way with both requests fulfilled." The bridegroom was Charles William Criss, 20, and the bride was Ruby Jene Constable 18. Justice of the Peace Darrell Kaplan performed the ceremony—his first. It was also believed to be the first time that a wedding ceremony had taken place in a service station, •*• * ik-
