Mrs. August Schnell gave a report on the thankoffering department which informed the women that the offerings offerings had tripled in the last few years. These offerings are. for the larger projects of the W. M. F. Plans for activities to the end of the year were also made. Christmas Christmas seals will be sold by both groups of the organization for the church tuberculosis sanatorium in Texas. Needy retired pastors will be remembered with Christmas gifts. Daughters of St. John and the L. M. S. will observe the annual annual Christmas luncheon together the first Thursday afternoon in December with dinner being served at 12:30. A letter from the president of the Lake Erie Group, Mrs. Herschel Nye, stated the "work shop" will be held in Norwalk Norwalk at St. Peter's Church. This will be for all officers and department department chairmen on Nov. 13, at 1:30 p. m. A liberal sum was set aside for the purchase of new books for the organization's library, and it was decided to have three meetings in the year, the second Tuesday in January, June, and October. The committee on ingathering at the Harvest Home service of canned ;-oods and produce reported liberal donations for the Home of Mercy in Williston. The women will also sponsor a clothing drive for Lutheran World Relief during Thanksgiving week. This clothing will be for the needy of Europe. Korea and East Jordan.
