JOINS Tw o Vice Presidents Elected By Westport Artists Schools WESTPORT, Feb. 3 -- The election of two vice presidents was announced today by the Famous Artists Schools. They are Harley W. Magee of 107 Cross highway and Alex Domonkos of Redding Ridge. Mr. Magee has been elected Vice president and assistant director of the Famous Artists Schools, Inc., and its newly inaugurated subsidiary, the Famous Writers School, Inc., it is announced by Albert Dome, president. Mr. Magce, who joined the Famous Artists Schools in 1948. holds the distinction of being the first salaried employe and one of its original stockholders. Almost 300 persons are now employed by the schools. Mr. Magee formerly was connected with McGraw Hill Publishing company, had been an editor of Popular Mechanics Magazine, was the managing editor of the Parkcrsburg, West Virginia, News, and was a staff writer for the Associated Press in Chicago. He attended Marietta, college where he majored in journalism. Mr. Domonkos has been elected vice president ,, and director of education of the Famous Artists Schools. Attending Yale university school of Fine Arts at the outbreak of World War II, Mr. Do- monltos enlisted in the Navy, serving as a carrier-based dive- bomber pilot. At the conclusion of the war, he returned to Yale and was graduated with honors in 1946. Mr. Domonkos taught at the Whitney School of Art in New Haven for two years, then resigned to devote more time to developing teaching techniques. He joined the Famous Artists Schools in 1949 and now super-; vises the activities of tmre than 70 instructors. He and his wife. Winifred, have two children, Robert and Jane.
