Holli-daysburg, Mr. Helman was born Aug. 14, 1873, in Gallitzin, a son of James C. and Sara (Shank) Helman. His first wife, Annie (Rhodes) Helman, died April 6, 194ft Surviving are his second wife, Effie Wood Ruppert Helman; two children, Mrs. Ernest B. Pheasant of Altoona and Craig E. Helman of Charleroi; one sister. Mrs. Susan Olsen of Pit cairn; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a step-son. Elmer Edwards of Altoona. He was a retired conductor of the Pennsylvania railroad of the Pittsburg division, retiring in September, 1940. Ho was a member of the Faith tabernacle. Friends may call at the Laf-ferty funeral home.
