(Blossom) Grimm, in 1963, and Miss Evelyn M. Pahel, in 1963, and one Ronald C. Pahel, in 1974. GEORGE J. MELASSANOS George J. Melassanos, 85, of 428 N. Pittsburg St., died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday Connellsville State General Hospital. He was born April 25, 1890, at Kar- pathos, Greece, a son of the late John Fotenie Perrus Melassanos. He came to Connellsville in 1917 and owned and operated the Star Restaurant on North Pittsburg Street for 45 years, retiring in 1956. He was a life member the B.P.O. Elks No. 503 and Ahepa No. 116 of Uniontown. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Melassanos; one daughter, Mrs. Philip (Fotenie) Mongell of Connellsville; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Mitchell, in 1920, and six brothers, William, Gus, Menard, James, Leon and Mitchell Melassanos, and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Pittas and Mrs. Hazalenue Sakillaries.
