Hcdsox, April 30, 1888. A. W. Meek returned home from Michigan, last Saturday. Miss Cora Davis, of Kendall ville is visiting friends In town. Joseph Greene and wife, of Angola, were the guests of Mother Brugh last Sunday. The widow Morrison, near the Cali fornia school house, died last Thursday morning. Uncle Fred Ritter got his hand badly mashed In the saw mill last Friday afternoon. Edward Buckmaster has bought property in town again and intends to build this fall. The Miller Bro's. are prepared to cut shingles now on short notice. They make a good shingle. The life insurance agents from Ango la and Waterloo were in town on Thurs day looking alter parties to insure. Uncle George Kistler who has been housed up all winter with the rheuma tism is out on the streets once more. Miss Klmsey and Miss Ilickey, who are, attending school In Angola, are stopping over Sunday with Grandpa Doles. Charlie Ling and W. Frederick, of AUDurn, were in town baturuay even ing shaking hands with all their old friends. John Moore has rented one of his rooms in the hotel to Miss Libby Loy and Miss Maggie Carle for to carry on dress making this summer. Last Tuesday Mrs. George Frederick's children made a birth day surprise for her. They gave her a nice lot of pres ents. It was her fifty - seventh birth day. Eli Hecka thorn, of Hudson, and Cath arine Barber, of Butler, were married on" Thursday, "May 26. Rev. Joseph Miller bad the pleasure of uniting them. i
