During his service he has doing their bit in two branches of Uncle Sam's armed forces, with Grantly Fowler in the coast guard and J. W. Fowler in the army engineering corps. Sons of Mrs. Rose Fowler Bond, 1558 Swan street. Grantly has been in the ·coast guard for two years, attaining the rank of boatswain's mate second class. He was here last week on visit with family and been stationed at New York, Portland and Seattle, the latter his present location; and J. W. Fowler is in England. At least, last re-" port in the form of a telegram several weeks ago placed him He sailed for the British Isles only three months after he entered the service. Now his mother is "waiting anxiously for a letter."
