Joseph Feldman Convicted
TWO YEARS In Prison And $:0(l Kino Is Penally Penally In Manslaughter Case Jury Convicts Feldman. Joseph Feldman, Licking Pike, Newport, was found guilty on a charge of involuntary manslaughter manslaughter by a jury in Campbell Circuit Court and was sentenced to serve two years' imprisonment and to pay a fine of $500 yesterday. His automobile hit John Green, 65 years old, Clifton, November 26, at Eleventh and Monmouth Streets, Newport. Green suffered a compound compound fracture of his skull and died later at Speera Hospital, Dayton, Ky., of pneumonia, according to Dr. August Helmbold, Campbell County County Coroner. Arguments in the case were made yesterday. Feldman testified he was driving his car through a passageway of an oil station at the northwest corner of Eleventh and Monmouth Streets at night and hit Green as he wai proceeding near the sidewalk. Commonwealth Attorney Lawrence Lawrence J. Diskin conducted the proa ecution and Daniel W. Davies, Newport Newport attorney, represented Feldman. Feldman. Davies filed a motion and grounds for a new trial, preparatory preparatory to taking an appeal to the Kentucky Court of Appeals.
