Obituaries WILLIAM C. ISBISTER A former former petroleum engineer in the Far East and a hardware store owner in Detroit, Mr. Isbister, 71, died Sunday at his home, 5225 Linsdale. Mr. Isbister, who learned the oil business at his native Petrolia, Ont., was credited with bringing in the first and largest oil well of the Tarakan fields in Sumatra. His first-hand first-hand first-hand knowledge of wells and refineries in Sumatra and Borneo was used by the United States Government during during World World H. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Fred Reynolds and Mrs. Alice Isbister Rogers, and a brother, James. Funeral services will be at 8 . r. m. Tuesdav at the Fred Wood Funeral Home, 8450 Plymouth. Graveside burial services will be held at Petrolia.
