Death of Sophronia Ridley in Estherville, Iowa, aged 85 years, 11 months, 22 days.
I>IKD.—In Estherville, Iowa Saturday Saturday afternoon at the homo of her son A. K., Mr. Sophronia Ridley, aged 80 years, II months, and 22 days. In the death of this intelligent lady, Enamel County loses one of her h'rst settlers, she having come here from Maine with her husband in 1869. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mis. Ridley, live of whom are now living two sons and three daughters. Five years ago last February the 60 wedding anniversyry of this highly respected couple was celebrated, celebrated, and about two years and a half after that important and happy event,| the husband was called home. The T ever dutiful wife was u member of the Free Baptist church, being converted converted to that faith when -but fourteen years of age. She was born in Litch- lield, Maine. The funeral was held at the Baptist church last Sunday afternoon, afternoon, Itev. Tootbacre preaching the sermon, and the interment was made in the west side cemetery.
