SCHUMACHER has returned returned to her home in this city after a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Akin, in Fort Worth. One of New York’s largest booking agencies recently offered Mrs. Schumacher Schumacher a protracted concert tour for the season of 1920 and 1921 and she will leave within a few months to begin her tour. She W'ill sing under her professional name of Ode Akin, her maiden name. The Fort Worth Record of last Sunday published a complimentary article concerning Mrs. Schumacher, telling of her appearance at numerous numerous musical and social affairs in Fort Worth during her visit there. She sang several solos at Trinity Episcopal Episcopal church and also sang at a Kiwanis Kiwanis club luncheon at the Metropolitan Metropolitan hotel. Mrs. Schumacher has a beautiful lyric soprano voice. * * * Percy Montgomery returned to the city Thursday evening from an extended extended visit to St. Louis, Kansas City, Indianapolis and New York City. In the latter city he visited his father, Col. Benjamin Montgomery, of the army. While in Indianapolis, Mr. Montgomery was selected to represent represent the southwest at the Ad clubs’ convention, being honored with the position of member of the executive committee of the association. * * * Owen P. White has returned from a business trip to Sierra Blanca, Toyah and other places on the Texas & Pacific Pacific milroad Mrs. White’s father, Col. W. AY. Harvey, has been her guest at “Whitelodge” for several days. ¥ * * Mrs. R. E. L. Fogle and children. Robert, jr., and Maggie, Belle, of 3115 Rivera street, returned on Thursday from a six weeks visit to relatives in Montgomery, Ala. * * * Mrs. W. N. Pence has returned to her home on Montana street after a visit to her daughter, Mrs. F. Seggerman, Seggerman, in Cloudcroft. tfc *§c W. F.
