Leonard Hartman, indicted for felon-ous felon-ous felon-ous assault, Bernard Auth prosecutor, was next placed on trial. The difficulty, out of which the case originated, occurred in Auth's saloon, Smithfield street, on the night of the 20th of January. It appoars that the accused accused called for beer which was furnished him, for which he refused to pay. He started to leave the saloon and Auth attempted to detain him, but was unable to do so. Hartman left, but subsequently subsequently returned and attempted to cut Auth with a knife. Jury out.
