HOW TIME FLIES 20 YEARS AGO. Thirty membera of the Bloom-ington Klwanls club went to Champaign, where they attended an intercity meeting and saw the University of Michigan football team defeat the University of Illinois by a score of 3 to 0. The club banquet and meeting followed the game. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tyler celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at their home in San Jose. . . . The Misses Lois Sack and Eloise Birney entertained 20 guest with a Hallowe'en party at the home of the former. . . . Members of the Knights of Columbus entertained 100 members and guests with a Hallowe'en party and dance at their clubroom. 10 YEARS AGO. Lee Shuler of Colfax won the McLean county corn husking championship with a record of 33.09 bushels in 80 minutes. This feat entitled him to represent this county In the state contest which was to be held a week later in the George Shuman farm south of El Paso. . . . Mr. and Mrs. Earle Bowles of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, arrived in Normal for a visit with relative and friends. Mr. Bowles was the son of Joseph Bowles, who for many years was a medicine manufacturer in Normal, andMrs. Bowles was the former Miss Myrtle Champion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Champion of Normal. . . . The Rev. Ralph G.jCarson of the First Baptist church addressed members of the Bloomington Rotary club at the Illinois hotel.
