Before she was given an arm !J band Miss Cope was given the de- j gree of hardship, a jolly stunt de- \ vised by the gills. Games of various sorts were played and at a late hour delicious refreshments were served \ n the dining room. The table was prettily adorned with a centerpiece I of violets on a mirorr lake. A dainty booklet in which each of the girls present had written a rhyme was presented to Miss Cope. The girls present, including the hostesses and the guest of honor, were Misses Wollaston, Conwell, Cope, Olive Newcomer, Frances Shrewsbury, Leslie Leslie Roberts, Nettie Tolle, Hayes Fleming, Louise Grouard.
