on t h e Berlin Youth'! Claim Settled For $8,500 Settlement tor a total of $8,500 has been approved by Supreme Court Justice Roscoe V. Elswortb in claims on behalf of a Berlin youth injured in an aulo accident iu Petersburg more than three years ago. The claims were on behalf Robert P. Jorgensen, IB, of Berlin, Berlin, and his mother, Mrs. Martha Jorgensen, as guardian ad litem. The court application slated thai 7.000 was offered in settlement the claim for injuries, and for dental, medical and hospital expenses expenses and loss of services. The amounts were offered by the, insurance carrier of Winfrcd II. Moses of Berlin, owner and driver of the car in which Jorgensen was riding at the time of accident July 18, 1953, about p.m. in River road in Petersburg. The court application stated that the accident occurred -as Moses' southbound car met a northbound northbound car of Robert R. Lewis Petersburg and was "guided" by the driver sharply to the right and hit guard rails and a tree. Lewis was named as a d e f when the case came Up in and was represented by Charles J. Ranney but from the" terms settlement was not held liable. Jorgensen, who was rendered unconscious when t h r o w n in the c a r , suffered lacerations, contusions and abra sions, and an affidavit of a neuro surgeon stated the opinion that he suffered a fracture of the skull and cerebral contusion.
