Athletic Director Eddie McLane will supervise the game to be played at Tech. while Joel Hunt, assistant coach at L. S. U. and chairman of the baseball division of the stale rally will handle the Class A contest at New Orleans. Dubach reached the finals in the diamond tournament through the not-hit hurling of Earl Harrist, ace of the Plunger squad, who defeated Jefferson (New Orleans) High 5-0 in the semi-finals. The tall Dubach righthander whiffed 11 men in pitching his first no hit performance of the season. Only two errors were contributed by the Plungers defense, neither of which did any damage, a force-out being made at second, when a fly ball was dropped by the Dubach left- fielder, while a boot by the shortstop placed a man on second, where he was left stranded when Harrist struck out the next man to retire the side. The Plungers were given considerable praise by sport scribes who witnessed the game, which was played on a slippery field, placing both teams at considerable disadvantage. Harrist will piobably be Coach Joe Mount's choice- for hurling honors when Dubach meets Greenwood here, it was stated today, with the postponement greatly enhancing the chances of the Plungers for the state title due to the added rest Harrist received.
