Dubach High School and Greenwood High (Caddo Parish) will meet at Tech Field upon a date to be fixed later, for the State Class Championship in baseball, It was announced following the forced postponement of the title game at Baton Rouge morning during the annual State Rally. Rain forced the postponement of not only the Dubach-Greenwood tie- up but the Warren-Easton-Jesuit high game in Class A ranks as well. The latter will be played Jn New Orleans, it was stated.

Athletic Director Eddie McLane will supervise the game to be played at Tech. while Joel Hunt, assistant coach at L. S. U. and chairman of the baseball division of the stale rally will handle the Class A contest at New Orleans.

Dubach reached the finals in the diamond tournament through the not-hit hurling of Earl Harrist, ace of the Plunger squad, who defeated Jefferson (New Orleans) High 5-0 in the semi-finals. The tall Dubach righthander whiffed 11 men in pitching his first no hit performance of the season. Only two errors were contributed by the Plungers defense, neither of which did any damage, a force-out being made at second, when a fly ball was dropped by the Dubach left- fielder, while a boot by the shortstop placed a man on second, where he was left stranded when Harrist struck out the next man to retire the side. The Plungers were given considerable praise by sport scribes who witnessed the game, which was played on a slippery field, placing both teams at considerable disadvantage. Harrist will piobably be Coach Joe Mount's choice- for hurling honors when Dubach meets Greenwood here, it was stated today, with the postponement greatly enhancing the chances of the Plungers for the state title due to the added rest Harrist received.

The title game was brought to Huston upon the suggestion of Coach Mount who pointed out the strong support Huston fans have given baseball in the past, and as to the advantage both teams will enjoy in so fur concerned. us expenses are LONDON (UP) A KUS and bomb-proof shelter which can hold 150 people lor an indefinite period it, built in secret by a baronet in the South Midllnds. L. S. U. Saturday evened the r.e- ries and season count with Louisiana Tech by defeating the Bulldogs 4-2 behind the three-hit pitching of Emilc Lochbaum, Tiger ace. Threatening clouds throughout the game, gave the slender righthander a perfect setting for a fast ball, which ho mixed with a breaking curve to baffle the Canine batters during the abbreviated con- tes.

Zerc Lewis, who coasted to an easy 9-4 victory over the Bengals at Baton last week-end was the victim of several miscues on the part of his mates Saturday, although he was touched for seven hits, including a solid triple to left by Delaficld. The Tigers started inning with their in the first run-making, Breaux shoving a single to right, then going around to third when Adkins booted Hundley's grounder. Walker and Delafield farmed, then Warmbrod singled to right, both the first two batters. They added another in the third, when with two out, Walker drew a to first, then rode home on Dr-la- field's triple to deep-left. Then- final tally came In the fifth, Breaux pushing uut his seejnd safe bK-w, scoring on Adkins' boot of Delafield's roller.

The camera and the home specialists got together on their vigorous investigation, and the Leader was quick to snap up the chance to offer the interesting result. Never 'has the camera been more faithful than in this motion picture cooking school.

Never has a model kitchen been portrayed so accurately and in such detail. The cemera took its time and it took its close-ups, so that every person in the Rialto Theatre will have a "large life, and twice at natural" view of each operation. There will be no "orchestra circle" at this entertainment, since the back row guests of the Leader will have an equal chance to peer into the busy mixing bowl, watching the deft steps of measuring, creaming, sifting and thorough mixing, not overlooking the final work of baking, roasting, French frying or freezing. For this is no halfhearted demonstration. Each delicioua dish will, be completed and shown with such realism tha'.

there are sure to be hungry "ohs" and "aha" from the audience. If any stray husbands get Into the theater, they are certain to ask: "When do we eat?" Troubled by left-overs? Haunted by never-ending jobs? Tired of housework that seems like drudgery? The cure: New wrinkles will smooth the brow of the weary housekeeper; that is, new housekeeping wrinkles leading to economy in time, effort and dollars. Not only does this picture school show 'new dishes, styles and interesting ways -to serve every-day meals and pastry feasts, but it demonstrates how to make intelligent use o4 the ingenious mechanical rvants that take the guess work out of house work. To the fun of watching an expert cook at work in a model kitchen is Added the real joy of studying the practical possibilities of such ful-time servants as an electric refrigerator, a smartly- styled rantfe, and other cooking accessories and convenient laundry equipment, designed to the gloom out of Monday. There is nothing formal and about this screen Cooking School.

Informality, hospitality and neighborly welcome are joined in the picture, meaning that good time will be had by all, as the saying goes. What about recipes? Naturally every guest of the Leader will want to test these tantalizing cures for menu monotony. Free 'recipe sheets will be distributed daily. And other tthings will be given valuable gifts that will find- long and useful life in man ya home. Guests at the will want to meet and remember the friendly local firms and nationally-known products that are helping the Leader in this community undertaking.
