i reception to which every one went early and stayed late Mrs Thomas Walsh was hostess at a beautiful luncheon the same day it SSirj IHREE debutantes were made welcome during the week Miss Ruth Lester on Wednesday Miss Margherita Tillman on Thursday and Miss Catherine Burdette yesterday Four coming - out parties will add to the gayety of Christmas week Miss Catherine Harlow daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard A Harlow will be first on the tapis with a tea to - morrow and a dinner dance following On Thursday Mre John K Shields will introduce her daughter Miss Jeannette Cowan a bud who is already a belle1 with the traditional charm bf the women from her part of the world where as Mr Thomas Nelson Page testlged in one of his books years ago I their reign begins in their nursery days Miss Josephine Shields niece of Senator Shields wjll come to Washington to share the pleasures of Miss Cowans first season with her and will be introduced with her at the tea on Thursday Another double debut of the week will be that on Friday of Miss - Evelina Gleaves daughter of Admiral and Mrs Gleaves and Miss Mary Truxtun Garland Miss Gleaves cousin Mrs Gleaves will introduce them at a large tea dance which like the tea dance of Miss Cowan and Miss V Shields will be given at Rauschers 4 I rj HE holiday home - coming has already begun and will increase in volume during the next few days Next week even big sisters just out will make way for the Juniors and juveniles for whom there U of H
