Mexia Auto Supply Observes 30th Business Year Here It was in October of 1946 that Arland Allbright opened the Mexia Auto Supply at 207 E. Main Street. His business has shown continued growth during these thirty years and Allbright has been very active in all civic enterprises and has not only been very progressive and active in the business activities of Mexia— but has taken part in many organization's that have helped Mexia progress during these years. Mr. and Mrs. Allright have two sons, Rodney was recently named president of Alvin Junior College and Drew is vice- president and cashier of the First Bank and Trust of Carrollton. Through the years Allbright has increased his services in the automotive lines and as his business has grown he has added specialized equipment and additional additional staff to properly carry on these services. Cecil Asher joined Allbright in the second year of his operation. Tommy Shamblin has been with the firm for the past nine years. The newest member of the team is Bob Merrett. He joined the firm when they recently added the latest Ammco equipment for turning brake drums and resurfacing rotors. The personnel received training by a representative of the Ammco company and in adding this additional service it was necessary to add another employee~in order to properly service the automotive needs of Mexia and this area. Mr. Allbright expressed; his appreciation to all the people that have supported him in his continued continued determination to bring the best of automotive material and servicing equipment He stated that a great part of the success of the Mexia Auto Supply must be attributed to them.
