Memorial Baptist Youth Leave On Concert Tour Forty-two Youth Choir members members and eight adult sponsors are making a nine day tour that will take them through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. Approximately 2,500 miles will be traveled before the choir returns home on Sunday night, June 8. The boys and girls and sponsors sponsors in the group are: Linda Archer, Kathy Atteberry, Pat Barfield, Dianna Colburn, Sandra Dillahunty, Nan Garrett, Vicki Montgomery, Linda Morgan, Morgan, Marilyn Morgan, Verlene Myers, Eunice Overstreet, Penny Sharp, Frances Smith, Renae Smith, Jerri Smoke, Jenny Webber, Kathy Lee, Allison Ammons, Laurie Ball, Robin Ball, Becky Barker, Gayle Billings, Jan Billings, Becky ChambJee, Karen Hamil, Judy Howell, Jean Kinsey, Judy Knobles, Martha Moore, Terri Thompson, Vicki Thompson, Beverly Zubik, Gary Goss, Jerry Longbotham, Albert Peoples, David Smith, Terry Wise, Vernon Martindale, Carl Parker, Mike Price, David Smith, Brad Tolleson, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Kimmey, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Nethery, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hamil and Mr. and Mrs. Bart Neal. During the tour the choir will present sacred concerts that will consist of a variety of selections from anthem arrangements to Christian folk music. During the 11 a.m. worship service, the pastor, Dr. W. Edward Thiele, will speak on "Our Christian Optimism," taking his text from I Cor. 16:5-9. All adults of the church will be recognized during the morning service in observance of Adult Week in the church. Sunday night the ordinance of Baptism will be observed. The pastor will speak on "Loyalty to the Gospel," Romans 6:17-27. There will be a meeting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, for all Vacation Bible School workers. Time for the Bible School this year is June 16-20, with an all-out Preparation Day on Friday, June 13. A Vacation Vacation Bible School picnic is planned to "top-off" the preparation day activities.
