The cameras were very kind to her in this picture . . and that, plus a good -yarn, a good cast and the famous famous Pons Voice . . . spells delightful delightful entertainment. The yarn . . well, we first meet up-with Suzette, (that's Pons) as a Paris cabaret -girl .with prima donna ambitions. She wants to meet-up with; Horton (he's-a scout for the -Metropolitan Opera). Oakie, (he's a press agent for Horton) and Suzette get together and plan n publicity stunt. . . and when Horton goes to Africa on a lion hunt, he meets a jungle girl with -a voice .capable .capable of reaching "F" above high "C" as easily as you or I cnn hit a sour one . . Enough is enough." Which was rather hard on poor Lily, but also a bit true . . Now they've made her. more human human . . they've taken her down off the pedestal and are permitting her to act like a human . . to laff and kick her heels a the audiences are goinj; Livengood Trail Hillside Mixed Pole Wood SIMMONS & BACHNER Woodyard PHONE GARFIELD 271 815 SIXTH When You Register- it becomes interest to your visit can hear | tor her In a big way.
