PASS THE AMMUNITION TO FARMERS IN KANSAS FOR USE ON RABBITS ELLIS, Kas., Jan. il (IP)— Pass some ammunition to Kansas farmers farmers for the home front, too, please. Those piratical rabbits are on the prowl again. That's the plea of Ray Kippes, operator here of a rabbit render- ng plant, who believes millions of :he bunnies should be shot not on- y because they destroy crops but because the carcasses could help solve other war-time problems. "Look," he said, "we have mil- ions of rabbits. Yes millions. They are huge eaters and any western Kansas farmer will tell you he loses thousands of dollars a year because the rabbits destroy part of all of his crops, mostly wheat and corn. They almost eat :he farmer out of house and home; take bread right out of the mouths of starving millions. "If we could get some shotgun shells, farmers could save much ol their crops by shooting millions ol rabbits."
