Mr. Kelly, a resident of the Alton area since 1927, was employed In the protection department of Mississippi Lime Co, until retiring three years ago. He was born In Erin, Tcnn. on'April 28, 1899 and married Pearl nurcham on March 7, 1918 In Collinsvllle. Surviving are his widow, Pearl; a daughter, Mrs. Madge Turnbeau of Cottage Hills; three ossn, Paul and Eugene, both of Bothalto and Robert of Rosewood Heights; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Corbett Kelly of Cottage Hills. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home In Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Concordia Concordia Lutheran Church in Cottage Hills with the Rev. Arthur Raul, pastor, presiding. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens. one week. Ho was n retired employe of the Olln Corp. Mr. Greono was born Juno 9, 1894 in Oakdalo, III. nnd married the former Ethel Pniltt, who died in Junii of 1970. Surviving are a son, Arnold Zumwalt of Godfrey; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Kulcnkamp of Godfrey, Mrs. William Moore of Alton and Mrs. Daley Ottwell of Pearl; 12 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Post 126 and served with the Army during World War I. Funeral services will bo at 2 p.m. Monday at Gent Funeral Home with tho Rev. Robert W. Branln of Brighton officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Gent Chapel. Simpson Lindeman Chester W. Lindeman, 57, of 1300 3rd St., Cottage Hills, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in Alton after an Illness of two months. A resident of the Alton area for 24 years, he was general foreman at the powder mill of Olin Corp. for 23 years. He was born in Clinton, HI. on Oct. 15, 1914, and married the former Lois DePugh on Aug. 23,1945 in Peldn, 111. Mr. Lindeman was a member of the East Alton American Legion Post and served with the Army during World War II. In addition to his widow, Lois, he leaves two brothers, Alva and Ellis, both of Olney, Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Ray A former Godfrey resident, George Ray, 57, of North Kansas City, Mo., died Thursday morning at work of an apparent heart attack. He was formerly employed at Laclede Steel Co. in Alton 'before moving to North Kansas City about six years ago. Surviving are his widow, the former Margaret Edwards; Edwards; two daughters, Mrs. Sanda Gallee and Miss Pam Ray; two sons, Ronnie and Gary, all of North Kansas City. A son, Larry, was killed in December of 1971. Also surviving are one granddaughter; granddaughter; a sister, Mrs, Helen Hills of Berdan, HI.! a brother, Curt of Chicago; and his stepfather, Claude Pruett. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Butler Funeral Home in Kansas City North, Mo. Burial will he in Kansas City. CARROLLTON — Mrs. Jennie Dowdall Simpson, 71, of 533 S. 6th St., Carrollton, died at 11 a.m. Thursday at Boyd Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1899, in Greene County and married Neal A. Simpson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrollton. Surviving are a brother, Levin Dowdall of Carrollton; and a nephew, Marwood Rowe of Ocala, Fla. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Hires Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carrollton City Cemetery with the Rev. J. It. Heikes, pastor of the First Baptist Church, presiding. Oberjohann KAMPSVILLE - Henry Frederick Oberjohann, 68, of Kampsville, Wednesday was pronounced dead on arrival at Boyd Memorial , Hospital, Carrollton. He was born Dec. I, 1903, in Kampsville. Surviving are his widow, the former Mildred Marie Roth; a son, Ervin of Kampsville; Kampsville; three brothers, Loren of Kampsville, Otto of Roseville, 111. and William of North Carolina; and a sister, Mrs. Johanna Gotway of Kampsville. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kampsville, Kampsville, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Greene, 77, of Rte. 1, Ingham Lane, Godfrey, Godfrey, died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Hospital after an illness of ALHAMBRA — William K. Stone, 53, of Alhambra, died Thursday at the Mt. Vernon State Tuberculosis Sanitariam, where he had been since Oct. 2,1971. He was born Sept. 20, 1918 in Bond County. Surviving are a brother, Herbert Stone of Pocahontas, 111. and a sister, Mrs. Lucille
