J20 Winston Drive, wife of s i S [ mor Cole County Sheriff Ben OV Mrs. Markway dies in hospital Markway, died at !t:02 p.m., Thursday, at a Jefferson City lospital. Mrs. Markway had been in ill icalth for several years. A native of Wnrdsville in rural Cole County, Mrs. Mark- vay was born Oct. 11, 1895, ·laughter of Joseph B. and Jen- lie Stockman Eveler. On Nov. 27, 1917. at Wards- she was married to Mr. Markway, who survives. Other survivors include: One son. ,,_.., LeRoy Markway, La:: one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Rosemary) Kelpe, Baton!Miss aren. Rouge, La.; and sLx grandchil- Two children preceded her h death, including one who died in the military service. Mrs. Markway was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality of that parish, and Legion of Mary. She was also a member of Glennon Circle No. 322, Daugh- ters of Isabella, and the Ameri- can War Mothers. Arrangements under the dir- ection of the Dulle Funeral Home are incomplete.
