John Schrick 1948 relative of Dahm 1948
Iota Shriek, taw Mar Effinjim, Dies A heart ailment caused the death at 2:30 a. m. today of Schrick, 66, well known farmer five miles south of Effingham, in St. John's hospital, Leavenworth. Mr. Schrick was born in the Mooney Creek neighborhood Oct. 4, 1881 and in 1912 married Miss Anna Putthoff. They lived in the Nortonville vicinity until moving to the farm near Effingham eight years ago. Mrs. Schrick and their daughter- in-law, Mrs. Herman Schrick of Effingham, were with him when death came. Besides his wife, he is survived by seven children: Herman, Mrs. Albert Haverkamp (Leona), Mrs. Edward Miller (Margaret), Nick and John, all of Effingham; Miss Louise Schrick, Kansas City, and Lawrence, St. Louis, Mo. There five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Allie Noll, Winchester. The rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. Sunday at the Warren funeral home in Nortonville. Funeral services will be held at St Joseph's church in Nortonville at 9:30 a. m., the Rev. Leo of Nortonville and the Rev. Matthew Hall of Effingham officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery at Nortonville. Pallbearers will be Charles Hegarty, James Cunningham and Oscar Effingham, and Peter Weber, Jule Chmidling and J. A. Schneidei, Nortonville.
