Mary Wake Slater Dies Here Sunday: Services Tuesday Mary Wake Slater of this city passed away Sunclay at 5:1^0 p.m. a' a lo(al ho.'^pital, following; an illness illness of several years. Mrs. Slater was born in Sangamon county on May 31, 1870, the daughter daughter cf Walter and Mary Beck W’ake. She was the Iasi .surviving mem- l>er in a familv of eight children. On Aug. 8. 1891. she was married cO David Hunt Slater al Virginia. He preceded her In death on Jan. 2. 1942. Surviving are two daughter.', Mrs. j Byron Ledferd and Mrs. Albert M. (Docker of Jacksonville; a son, Da\id M. Slater of Chicago; three grand ch’ldren, Mrs. Jchn Jay Reeve ol I this city, Mi’S. George E. McNier of jSpringiield and David Harvey Slater ;of Chicago: several great grrndichilaren: grrndichilaren: and a number of nieces ¡and nephews. I The body at the Gillham ' Funeral Home, vvhcre services w ill ^ l>e held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, v. ith Rev. : William J. Boston officiating. Burial will be in Diamond Giove cemetery.
