of Co., a of p.m. will Rt. L.T. Dtvk Joseph Ray Davis, 12, of 99 Dayton Ave., died at IMS Monday in High Point Memorial Hospital where he had been critically ill since Wednesday. Mr. Davis was born Aug. 20, 1901, in High Point, a son of Ransoo L. and Louisa Welborn Davis. On Dec. 5, 1925, he was married to Miss Edna Jacobs. Prior to his illness he had employed by Marsh Furniture Company for more than 25 of the Moose Lodge. A member of Montlieu Avenue Methodist Church, he was a member of the J. D. Williams Bible Class and a past president of t Men's Bible Class. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Jacobs Davis, of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth L. Green of Albany, Ga., Mrs. W. Dillard Wagner of Guilford College, Mrs. Dan B. Smith of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. J a m e s H. Hollingsworth of 3621 Fairlane Rd. and M r Joseph Outlaw of 2525 Friends Ave.; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin P. Davis of 200 W. Lexington Ave. And Norman R. Davis of 1509 Courtesy Road; two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Allen of 305 Monnell Dr. and Mrs. Walter Flinchum of Rt. 2, High Point. Funeral will be held at 3 p. m. Tuesday in Montlieu Avenue Methodist Church by Rev. H. Glen Lanier, pastor. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at home until Sechrest Funeral placed in t h church 30 minutes before t funeral. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to p.m. today.
