Directors Elect Interim Board At Coalf art COALPORT — A nine-mem ber interim board was elected at a convention of school directors directors from the B-C-I Joint School; of Gearfield County and White and Reade Townships of Cambria Cambria County here last night. Members are: Angelo Vigne and Andrew E. Popyack, Beccaria Beccaria Township; Mrs. Clyde Nevling and Floyd Gorman, Coalport Borough; Robert E. Turley and W. Dean Miles, Irvona Irvona Borough; Robert O. Krise, White Township; Blair Rickard and Luther Troxell, Reade Township. Township. Mr., Krise, elected chairman, Mr. Turley and Mr. Rickard will serve until 1969 with the offices of the remaining six members continuing until 1967. The board will take over the operation of the schools July 1 when the present present five individual districts become become a single district. The B-C-I jointure and its two new associated townships become become the second of Clearfield County's schools to go into what is known as advance establishment establishment of a single district, a year prior to district reorganization mandated by Act 291 of the 1963 Legislature. It will now qualify for an additional $300 a year in state funds for each teaching unit. Last night's convention, called by County Superintendent Fred E. Sweely, was attended by 21 of the 24 present school directors directors of the five member districts. districts.
