GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY HONORED Relatives and Friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.'"Banks Celebrate Occasion. An event which was held on last, SUnday was of much interest in the community in which it occurred, and is of real interest to the county, hav- ing to do with the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Banks of Ritrhey, route 1. who have been highly respected residents of Ncwton county for many years. The affair had been carefully planned by relatives and friends, and; had been most happily anticipates! by all asociatnd with the happy nf-1 fair, at 100 being present. Thc .splendid weather contributed! much to the success of the obser-1 vance of the half-century of married life, for an immense dinner table was! constructed in the yard of the Banks home, and on this, in the warm sunshine of February 23, 1930. a din- ner which passes description was spread. The day was balmy, and beautiful boquets lent their fragrance fragrance to the long table. Every article article of delicious food which can be prepared by expert Oznrk cooks, could be found on that table which literally groaned under the load. Someone who was deeply interested interested in the success of the affair, and in the promotion of the happiness of Mr. and Mrs. Banks, made a sturdy effort to remember names of those present, and has sent us the following list, with the hope that it is complete: Christian Mr. and Mrs. Jim Douthitt, Mr. and Mrs. J. Groomer and two children, children, Junior and Nadine of Dallas, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Don Lasswell and two children, Leon and Edmund of Hamlin, Texas; Dr. and Mrs. E. B.
