0 0 B. F. BLANKENSHIP B, F. Blankenship another old resident of this county died Saturday Saturday from old age at the age of 80 years. He was born in Glee county, Virginia, Virginia, September 26, 1S31 and was u n i t e d i h ni a r r i a ge t o M i ss E1 i z a- beth Lewis in 1 852. He„enJistedJn_ the army in IS62 and served as Captain until 1865 when he mustered mustered out. He came to Kansas in 1870 and took a homestead in Belleville Belleville where he lived until his . recent recent death. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship fourof whom are living. They are: A. J. Blankenship, Blankenship, Anadarko,—Okla., Mrs. N. J, Morley, Salina, Bennett Blankenship Blankenship and Mrs. Leah Duskin of this city. Mr. Blankenship was every man's friend and was always deeply ia- terested in any project that •was made for the advancement of the community. TJie funeral was. held at the old home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. L. Semans of the Methodist Methodist church. Burial was made in the Poplar Grove cemetery.
