06UNTRY SCHOOLS ! CLOSE YEAR'S WORK Eighth Grade Graduation for County Held Friday Afternoon. The country schools of Newton county came to town Friday an< the graduates of the eighth grade were presented with diplomas. The program in connection with the presentation of the diplomas was given iu the City Park, beginning at one o'clock, as follows: Address of Welcome, Hon. ~T. Ashwortb. Song, America. Invocation, Rev. W. H. Funderburk. Funderburk. 'Address to Graduates, Rev. Claude Breideuthal of Granby. -Presentation-of Diplomas-by County County Superintendent, W. E. Veerkamp. There was a large crowd in attendance, attendance, people from all parts of the county having come to take part in the exercises.
