i KIWAlSlNES AT PENN-ALTO PENN-ALTO PENN-ALTO Robert Smith Delivers Timely Timely Address And Melody ; Girls Entertain Altoona Kiwanis club was splendidly entertained yesterday noon Jjour at Penn-Alto Penn-Alto Penn-Alto hotel, in the Logan room, the first of the weekly meetings held in that magnificent hostelry. Manager Aagard left nothing undone' V make the members feel at home, the spacious dining hall permitting of arranging the tables in the form of the letter K, signifying Kiwanis. Max Lenson was host of the occasion occasion and well did he providp for the entertainment of his fellow members. Music for the function was furnished by Genevieve's Melody Girls, six in number, who enlivened the affair with instrumental and vocal selections that pleased immensely." He also provided for a regular movie show through the courtesy of Manager Wilkinson of the Strand and Manager Russell of the Capitol and Olympic theatres, the former former furnishing the machine and operator operator and the latter the films. The title of the picture is "A Trip to Paramount Town," with Rudolph Valentino, Gloria' Swanson, Wallace Reld, Theodore Roberts, Cecil DeMille, Dalton. Ferguson. Meiehan. Minter and greatest cast ever , assembled in a single picture, and now being shown at the Capitol theatre.
