I William Arndt, a resident of this city for the past thirty-eight thirty-eight thirty-eight years, passed away last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ray Gamboa, in Alameda, where he had gone for a short visit. He had been in falling health for some time, but was not thought to be seriously 111. He was seventy-one seventy-one seventy-one years of age. Besides his children, deceased leaves a sister, Mrs. Charles Nagel, of this city, and two brothers, Carl Arndt, who lives In Illinois, and Mel-vln Mel-vln Mel-vln Arndt, In Germany. The children are Mrs. Tiliie Morrison, Mrs. Ray Gamboa, Otto C. Arndt, all of Alameda, Alameda, and Fred W. Arndt of Santa Cruz. His death Is a sad. loss to the family. There are a number of grandchildren and other relatives in California. The body will be brought here tomorrow tomorrow for burial.
