Shepherd, In 825 May strcet. relatives and a few intimate friends were present at this attractive wedding that had an utmost simplicity simplicity for its keynote. The Rev. James Lawson o{ the First M. E. church read the ceremony. On the morning of her wedding, Miss Shepherd appeared in a pretty pretty frock of a blue-gray shade that was complimentary to her brunette charm. The bride enhanced her dress by a corsage of delicate flowers flowers pinned to her bodice and with her blue outfit, Miss Shepherd chose for contrast a good looking dubonnet hat. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shu 11 served Mis§ Shepherd and Mr. Armstrong as best man and matron of honor. After the ceremony the guests congratulated the couple and then everyone was served attractively arranged refreshments before Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong left by motor for a brief stay with the bridegroom's bridegroom's relatives In Iowa. Whin th* couple returns they will reside at Mr. Armstrong's gtome on West Detroit street, Calu- Wet City. Mrs. Armstrong, a graduate of the Hammond high school, is recognized recognized as a capable laboratory technician, technician, having received her train- Ing for this work at Marquette university In Milwaukee. For several years Mr». Armntrong has been connected with St. Margaret's hospital hospital in the laboratory and is a special favorite with the members of the staff and all of the hospital "family." Several ysars ago Mr. Armstrong, ion of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Armstrong Armstrong of West Detroit street, came here to make hli home from Dakota and has many friends both In Hammond and Calumet City. He !s employed by the Shell Petroleum Petroleum corporation.
