South Side. The remains of the late John Meyers, Meyers, of 726 Cedar avenue, were yesterday yesterday interred in Pittston avenue cemetery. cemetery. Mr. Meyers was one of the many active Germans in this part of the city and one who made "Scranton grow." His death, which occurred Sunday evening after a most useful career, was mourned by hundreds of friends. His funeral yesterday was very largely attended and showed the esteem esteem in which the deceased was held. He was a member of the Nay Aug tribe of Red Men, No. 140, and also a member of the Odd Fellows' lodge, No. 513, both organizations attending the funeral and also furnishing the pallbearers and flower carriers. Services, whicTi were of a most impressive impressive character, were conducted at the house by the Rev. William A. Nordt, pastor of the Hickory Street Presby -
