8 The Daily Register-Mail, Galesburg, 111. Monday, January 4, 1954 Miss Asbury Is Bride Of Airman Gowned in « wedding dress of *vhite Chantilly lace and nylon nrl over white satin. Miss Patricia Louise Asbury became (he bride of Airman 1C Nicholas Glasnovich in a double ring ceremony administered administered by the Rev. P. F. Murphy Saturday afternonn in St Patrick's Church. The vows were said at 2 o'clock with Mr«. Shirley Stiles providing the organ music. Among her numbers was an "Ave Maria." Miss Asbury is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rry W. Asbury Sr. of 1153 Maple Ave., and was given in marriage by her father. Airman Airman Glasnovich, who is stationed at Laughlin Air Base, Del Rio, Tex., is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Glasnovich of 714 S. Henderson Henderson St. Red roses were carried by the bride whose dress of lace had tendrils of (lie lace appliqucd onto the net yoke for the bodice and into the lower sleeves which were also of net. The skirt widened very fuil into a chapel length train. Illusion veiling cascaded from a beaded coronet. Bouquets of white carnations at the side altar were in complement to the church decorations of pyramided red poinsettias and greenery, Echoing this color motif were the dresses of red and green velvet worn by the bride's attendants. Mrs. Gerald Hagney, the bride's sister from Galva, was gowned in forest green velvet, while the Misses Susan and Threasa Glasnovich Glasnovich wore red velvet. They had white fur headdresses and carried cascades of white carnations. Slippers Slippers matched the waltz length dresses styled with circular skirts, boat necks and three quarter quarter length sleeves. Mrs. Asbury wore an iridescent chrome taffeta while Mrs. Glasnovich Glasnovich wore navy blue taffeta. AIRMAN AND MRS. NICHOLAS GLASNOVICH (Miss Patricia Louise Asbury) Pink hats and flowers were accents. Joe Glasnovich served as best man. Ushers were Michael Glas-j novich, Ray W. Asbury Jr., brothers brothers of the couple, and Gerald Haeney of Galva. Following the festive reception held in Corpus Christi dining hall, Airman and Mrs. Glasnovich left for Chicago and from (here will drive through the Ozarks and to southern Texas. After Jan. 10, they will live at 217 Dukes St., Del Rio. Graduated from Galesburg High School in 1951, the bride is a member member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority Sorority and has been employed at Butler Manufacturing Co.
