Mrs Catherine Rosar- Obit
The funeral of Mrs. Catharine Rosar took place from the family residence on Birch - street yesterday afternoon and was attended by tho largest concourse of peo ple ever seen at a luneral on this side. The seating capacity of the Hickory - street German Presbyterian Church is over 1,100 and at least 400 were standing in the aisle besides about 300 who were unable to gain admittance; thus making t he total attendance nearly 2,000. Rev. Mr. Wciswasser conducted tho services, preaching a very able discourse, and the church choir rendered three selections at the church and one at the Pittston Pittston Pittston - avenue Cometery where interment interment was made. The Frauca Verein of which Mrs. Rosar was a member turned out about 250 strong. The floral tributes were numerous, the most; notable being a pillow with the word "Mother" in blue immortelles. They were carried by PhilipRobinson, Jacob Hartman and Frank Schauer. The pall bearers were Messrs. Charles Hcuster, August Rencr, John Dcmuth, Christ. Fickus, Fritz Truss, John Fickus, Oscar Geishardt, Henry J. Seibecker, Charles Scheuch, John Hahn George Engle and Charles Lengler.
