The survey for tho proposed extension ot the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to Philadelphia was completed as far as this city to - day and on Afondr.y surveyors will be at work between this clly and Philadelphia. The section between Baltimore and the Susquehanna was surveyed some time ago. The line of the road between Wilmington and a point on the Susquehanna one mile above Perry ville ia somewhat shorter than the Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Line. The new road will strike the Delaware Western at Kiamensi Station. According to the Every Kvcuhift it then will cross the Ked Clay near Ihe Kiatneusi daiu and the White Clay at Newark. The route from (hat point westward lies from one - half to two and a half miles north of Ihe Philadelphia, Wilmington and Bit - tiinore Line. The Norlh East will be spanned by a bridge of three arehea, the Principio by threo arches and Mill Creek by two arches. Tho location of tho stations on the new line cannot bo learned yet. The grading on the new road will not lie diili - cult. It wilt be comparatively easy from Wilmington t the Big Elk, in Cecil county. From thereto Mill Creek the country is rather hilly, and in places is densely wooded. It will not be an exceedingly expensive road to construct. How the road will enter Wilmington has not been decided upon. No definite lines have been run exi - ept through Wilmington and Braudywine Cemetery.
