Raii.roai9in Southeastern Pennsyl. vania. The West Chester Village Record has the following summary of the railroad work now in progress in the southern part of Pennsylvania: "Ihe work of grading the citension of the W ayneshurg railroad to New Holland proceeds slowly but surely : the grading is now being done on the proposed railroad between Jinosler city and the UeJa - waie river part of a line to N - w York ; tbe Wilmington and Beading road is pushing the grading on that part of its line which is to connect it with the .benign Valley ; the work on the Pennsylvania and Delaware railroad, running from Pomeroy, on the Pennsylvania railroad, to Delaware city, is nearly all done and ready for the trains ; the managers of the Peach Bottom railroad hope to have the grading done by spring ; and Ihe Wilmington and Western railroad intends surveying line for the extension of its road from Laden - hurg to Oxford, to connect there with the Peach Bottom rratl. The work of grading part of the Juniata and State Line roid lying in Maryland is now going on, and we are in hopeB that work may begin soon in Chester county. 1 he above is certainly a pretty good showing in thowayof railroad building. The engineers have finished locating finally that part of the Philadelphia and Chester county railroad lying between West Chester and Downingtown."
