as t at Ebenezer Foote. Duryea's oldest resident. Ebenezer Foote. died yesterday afternoon at 3.1 " o'clock, aged S3 years and five months. He had been declining for a long time, but it was only a week ago that his condition bcame serious, Since that time be had taken no nourishment, nourishment, with the natural result that his enfeebled body did not possess strength enough to hold out longer. He had lived in Duryea for over half a century and had watched the development development of the valley, from a series of good farms to a dozen or more communities communities dependent upon the coal mines. He was the father - in - law of H. L. Edsall. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. William Price. William Price, senior member of the undertaking firm of William Price & Son, died last evening at his home on South Main avenue, West Scranton. The deceased was born In South Wales 79 years ago. Fifty - five years ago he came to America. He resided for a few years in St. Clair, then for a few years In Pittston, and 39 years ago moved to Scranton, where he had since re sided. For many years be had been In the undertaking business in that city. He is survived by three daughters and one son. The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon. 7 to
