Hood in the chair, The Bishop read the 216 chapter of I&aiah and 2nd chapter of Johm Rev. C. b Mooro read the 700th selection. Rev. P. McNatt led in prayer, The minutes of the preceding day were read and adopted. The committee on eulogy reported tne names ol deceased, members Rev. T. K. Bird olfered tne following resolution, which was adopted Whereas, The North Carolina Annual Annual Conference is the firs!; and oldest organized in the South of which there is no Conference record left for histori cal reference, and, ' Whereas, we have but a few of the remaining ministers left who were founders; '." j liesolved, That we in Conference session session provide for and keep a Conference record of each member, to be known as the Ministerial Conference Record, showing the time of entrance, ordinations ordinations as deacons and elders, by whom ordained, transferred and date of super-anuation super-anuation super-anuation and death, to be kept printed in the minutes-. minutes-. minutes-. Rev. J. W. Rasberry called the Bishop's Bishop's attention to the negligence of the ministers of the Conference, respecting the widows and orphans fund, and the following committee was appointed to lo3k after the matter: Revs. J. W. Rasberry, Wm. Sutton, W. H. Fuiford, J. Hooper, S. B. Gas kdl. Rev. W. A. Keys made a motion that a committee be appointed to receive receive and disburse the Home and Foreign Missions any fund coming to tliis conference.; The following is the committee:: F. K. Bird, W. J. Moore, Isham Williams. Rev. A. Mclver moved to reconsider the vote by which the Fifth District was discontinued. Motion lost. Elder Gaskiil asked if the District Conference had a right to examine the literal qualifications of the local preachers The Bishop decided they had; also that local preachers must oDtain a recommendation from the quarterly Conference to the District Conference and theneo ti th Ammal Conference. The committee on admission made their report and recommended the following following on trial: H. P. Walker, A. B Joiner, W. R. Mavner, J. E. Hussev, A. R. McNeil, T. F. Shepherd, T. D. Harrison, B. W. Swain, C. T.Simmons, T.H.Paul. In full connection, T. C. Battle, P. W. Williams. C. D. Hazzel, W. H. Graham.
