13 TAKEN IN GAMBLING v RAID ON ATTORNEY'S - LAFAYETTE, Ind., Jan. 1.-- Thirteen men, a .faro table, a quart and a half of whisky, $80 in cash and a table crap shooting was the haul made in Â·Â· a raid early this morning on the of Attorney W. M. -Friel near Monitor, In- this county. Prosecuting Attorney Morris R. Parks and . Sheriff William Weinhardt, assisted by local police , special prohibition enforcement officers, .ma'de the raid, and they hauled in gambling ' paraphernalia in a motor truck. All the men were charged -gaming and three pleaded guiity and paid their fines this morning. Friel denied that he kept the gaming outfit and whisky for any one but his whom he entertained at the farm. Those who pleaded guilty were Jesse Turner, William Cockran and William Brummert Each was fined J15. The others who face gaming charges are Jack Friend, Charles Jones, George Smith, C. W. Williams.
