GASTONIAN CATCHES BIG FISH J. i. Nivens of Gastonla, while fishing off St. Lucle Inlet, Stuart, Martin county, Florida, caught a sailflsh measuring seven feet, eight Inches. Mr. Nivens was awarded a Silver Sailfish Button and Stuart Sailfish Club Certificate. This type of fish is very coarse meat and Is not good for eating until it is cured and smoked. Mr. Nivens did not have it cured, and as it was too large to handle could not bring It back to Gastonia with him. Mrs. A. L. Nivens, daughter-in-law of Mr and Mrs. Nivens, was on the boat when the fish was caught. Mr. anc Mrs. Nivens and daughter, Virginia, arc planning another trip to Florida this week and plan to be gone about three weeks, extending their trip to Cuba this time. of r up n A.
